At Play: Works by Tom Jessen Opening Reception

Join us for the opening reception of At Play: Works by Tom Jessen Friday, May 24 from 4-7pm. Step into the creative world of artist Tom Jessen as he brings his piece Atsuko to life right before your eyes at Ticonic Gallery. Following the construction of Atsuko, visitors will be invited to become a part of the interactive journey! Participants will be asked to roll dice to determine which cans and color of string to use, and where they will be connected to the wall.

“Often in my work I find myself having “conversations” with artists from the past. This is a kind of love letter to Japanese artist Atsuko Tanaka. Her paintings often had complex systems of circles and lines, evoking electrical circuits and connections between things.” – Tom Jessen
