Free community fun day offers family-friendly entertainment, activities, goodies and more at participating locations in Waterville
Waterville, Maine —On Saturday, December 2nd the city of Waterville will embrace the holiday spirit with “Joy to the Ville” – an all-day community event meant to celebrate the magic of the holiday season here on the Kennebec River. Waterville Creates! and its partners the Waterville Opera House, the Maine Film Center, the Waterville Public Library, the Colby College Museum of Art, and the Children’s Discovery Museum are joining forces to organize this day of free, family-friendly holiday programming throughout Waterville! Joy to the Ville Happenings – as of Tuesday, November 28th
- Free Let’s Go! Healthy Holiday Activities with Inland Hospital at Common Street Arts from 9:00am – 11:00am;
- Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at Kringleville in Castonguay Square, 93 Main Street in Downtown Waterville from 1:00 – 5:00pm;
- The Children’s Book Cellar will host story time while Santa is in town at 1:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm;
- Holiday Card Making at the Waterville Public Library from 10:00am – 12:00pm;
- Holiday Story Time at the Waterville Public Library from 10:30am – 11:00pm;
- Free Green screen winter photos at the Waterville Opera House. Come dress up and don a hat, scarf and more for a winter photo! We can then put you into any backdrop that you choose! 12:00-4:00pm;
- Free screening of “Elf” the movie at the Waterville Opera House from 12:30 – 2:00pm;
- Reception for the winners of the Downtown Waterville Winter Banner Art Contest at Common Street Arts from 1:00 – 2:00pm;
- Free quilted Holiday Cards and Ornament Making at Common Street Arts from 2:00pm- 5:00pm;
- Free performance of “Tomorrow” from Annie the Musical at the Waterville Opera House (right before “Elf” the movie begins);
- Colby College Museum of Art crafting at Common Street Arts from 11:30am – 1:00pm;
- Oh boy! Free Sugar Cookie Decorating at Holy Cannoli from 9:00 – 11:00am (while supplies last);
- Buon Natale! Free Cioccolato Caldo (Italian hot chocolate) for children and a free Cappuccino for adults at Itali-ah Market and Restaurant from 8:00am – 4:00pm!;
- The Loyal Biscuit Co. will be offering Free PET Holiday Eggnog from the Honest Kitchen for any visiting dogs throughout the day as well as a sale of 15% OFF toys, treats, collars, and more for the entire day!;
- Get a milk moustache – just like Santa with Free 16oz holiday drinks at Aroma Joe’s on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville between 9:00am – 3:00pm;
- All is merry and bright at Selah Tea Café with Free Tea Tastings, Free Goodies, Holiday Drinks and Treats all day!
- Bring your imagination to life with Storytime at the Children’s Book Cellar at 1:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm!
- Make holiday magic with Free Holiday Ornament Making at The Framemakers all day!
