Join Maine State Library's STEAM librarian Chris Dorman on Zoom and learn how to make Bristlebots! Bristlebots are a cheap, easy, and fun to build robot made from the head of a toothbrush, a battery, and a small motor.
What is STEAM? And what is a STEAM librarian? STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Arts range from visual arts, language arts and physical arts to music and more. STEAM focuses on sparking imagination and creativity through the arts in ways that naturally align with STEM learning. Find out about what a STEAM librarian is during the workshop!
A limited amount of Bristlebot kits can be picked up through the Waterville Public Library's Library to Go Service, which is available 1-5pm on Monday-Friday. We will send Zoom link 48 hours before the event.
