Rather than using new resources to create art, why not rescue materials headed for the landfill and unleash your creativity on them?! Join artist Kim Bernard and a creative design team to conceive, build, and install a sculptural installation for the opening of the Arts Collaborative. Participants will use #2 plastic waste, then process, shred, and extrude the upcycled plastic into a new, malleable form. Learn about where plastic comes from and ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle while building your hands-on, collaborative, problem-solving skills. This workshop is guaranteed to be fun, wildly creative, and a total surprise!
This FREE workshop is for ages 14 and up. Lunch will be provided.
