Join Alexandra Méndez and Serena Sanborn, a Maine Master Naturalist, for a reflective walk through Head of Falls Park. Méndez and Sanborn bring together their expertise across collective writing, the natural world, ecological restoration, and water to create a memorable experience that invites participants to contemplate the river, its pasts, properties, and futures. Field notebooks and pencils provided to aid in collective writing and reflection.
Water Writings is part of “A Glossary of These Waters,” a collaboratively created art event in Waterville, Maine (June 14-21). Throughout the week, we’ll explore the Kennebec River and watershed, focusing on how we can engage and honor the River and her memories, properties, and futures. This week of art and reflective programs, workshops, and activities is the work of the ARC-Hive Collective, a shifting group of Maine-based educators, artists, performers, and archivists.
Event includes walking on flat, often paved surfaces. Stools provided. RSVP recommended as space is limited; email [email protected] to reserve a space and learn more.
