This St. Patrick's Day, dive into this visually stunning Celtic tale of a young Irish boy, Ben, who discovers his mute younger sister, Saoirse, is a selkie– a mythological being that can transform from human to seal. Ben must protect Saoirse and help her find her voice, which is the only thing that will free the Faeries from the spell of an evil goddess Macha, the Owl Witch. This Oscar-nominated film uses enthralling hand-drawn imagery to build settings and characters that make you want to travel through the screen. The film will be preceded by the short film "Ocean Child," made by Maine filmmakers Isabelle and Phoebe Rogers, and based on the same Irish folklore as
Song of the Sea. The Rogers sisters hand-drew all the animation, as well as composed and performed the music.
