Join artist and former Ticonic clay studio member Amy Bley for this fun six-week course on exploring intermediate clay techniques. Amy will guide students as they explore techniques of wheel throwing including large forms, altered forms, and other objects based on student interest. Students will learn skills that will build on the basics including centering, shaping, trimming, and glazing. This class will provide each student with techniques that will build on a solid foundation and working knowledge of clay basics; a perfect class for someone who has taken a beginning clay class and wants to try building on their knowledge.
Included in the class is a 25-pound bag of clay, all necessary glazes, and all kiln firings during the class period. Each student can access the studio outside of class and can take home finished work they create in class or during studio hours.
