After School Art Club
Kids ages 8-12 are invited to dive into the world of art in these dynamic and engaging after school sessions. Young creators will explore the wonders of clay, 3D printing, and so much more!
Cost: $16 (Price includes a $1 per ticket handling fee.)
Age: 8-12
Limit: 15 participants
These classes are eligible for the Youth Arts Access Fund.
We follow the Waterville Public Schools’ weather cancellation policy.
  
October 3 - Mini Light Sentinel
Celebrate the stunning public art installation, Light Sentinels, in Castonguay Square. Create your own mini light sentinel and explore the captivating science of color and light.
October 10 - Halloween House Part 1
Craft a Halloween house—whether spooky or kooky—using hand building techniques with clay. Your creations will be fired and ready for painting the following week.
October 17 - Halloween House Part 2
Add the finishing touches to your Halloween house with paint, washes, and lots of detail. Your creation will be ready to take home by the end of the class.
October 24 - Mask Making 
Using cardboard, cutting tools, and paint, create your own fantastical mask just in time for Halloween.  
November 7 - Clay Stories of Strength Part 1
Using hand building techniques and your unique marks in clay, create a piece that expresses strength and courage. Your creations will be fired and ready for glazing in Week 2.
November 14 - Clay Stories of Strength Part 2
Add brightly colored glaze and surface design to pieces created last week. They’ll be fired and ready to take home next week. We’ll visit the Holiday Bazaar in Ticonic Gallery.
November 21 - SpongeBob Meets 3D Printing
What happens when you combine 3D printing, SpongeBob, the ocean, and friends? Dive into this session and discover the magic for yourself!
December 5 - Paint Your Pet
Create a beautiful watercolor portrait of your favorite pet (or the pet you wish you had). Please email us a photo in advance so we can prepare for you.
