Practice a series of hands-on activities inspired by artworks in the galleries. In our Artful Healing sessions, Bodhi Simpson, LCPC, ATR, an art therapist with a private practice in Waterville, Maine, called Conscious Art Therapy will gently guide participants through a creative healing exercise inspired by a work of art in the Museum’s collection. This offering will support the development of creative expression, increase your self-awareness, and teach you simple tools to support your emotional wellbeing.Â
This month’s exercise is inspired by Zanele Muholi’s Namhla 1 at Cassilhaus, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, 2016.
Suggested materials will be listed closer to the program date.Â
Artful Healing is part of the Museum’s wellness initiative, Let Art Inspire, all of which are available online through the Museum’s website and Facebook page.
The Waterville and central Maine community can schedule appointments with Bodhi at consciousarttherapy.com.
