Being a spy is no easy task; you have to be suspicious of everyone and constantly on the lookout for danger. George (Michael Fassbender) and Kathryn Woodhouse (Cate Blanchett) are a couple of spies—literally, as they're married to each other—who find solace in working together and being able to fully trust one another. However, the bonds of George and Kathryn's marriage begin to crumble when Kathryn is accused of betraying their country and stealing government secrets that threaten the lives of thousands of innocent people. As the clock races and George begins to investigate Kathryn, he finds himself needing to decide whether his loyalty lies with his country or with his wife. The latest from director Steven Soderbergh (
Erin Brockovich,
Sex, Lies, and Videotape,
Ocean's Eleven,
Logan Lucky),
Black Bag is a gripping, absolutely crackerjack thriller with a star-studded cast—Marisa Abela (
Back to Black), Naomie Harris (
Moonlight), Pierce Brosnan (James Bond,
Mamma Mia!), Regé-Jean Page (
Bridgerton), and Tom Burke (
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga)—that absolutely should not be missed.
