Based on real events from the life of writer-director Tracie Lymon, this truly warm, sweet comedy follows a young woman named Lily Trevino who finds a father figure in a random stranger who happens to have the same name as her absent dad. After accidentally friending him on Facebook, the other Bob Trevino starts liking all her posts—hence the title—and the pair start chatting online. In bad thriller movies, this kind of premise results in a horror film. Not so here, as Lily and Bob's growing friendship becomes a path to healing their individual traumas and finding a new path forward in life. The wonderfully human performances by a career best John Leguizamo and Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira help make “this wonderfully personal story be filled to the brim with a seemingly endless reservoir of laughs and tears. It's an experience that won't just have you liking Bob Trevino Likes It, it will have you loving it”—Aidan Kelly, Collider.
