Bob Fosse's Cabaret returns to the big screen! Winner of eight Oscars when it first released—including Best Actress (Liza Minnelli), Best Actor (Joel Gray), and Best Director—this wildly entertaining and thought provoking adaptation of the Broadway musical is utterly timeless. Inside the Kit Kat Club of 1931 Berlin, starry-eyed singer Sally Bowles (Minnelli) and an impish emcee (Gray) sound the clarion call to decadent fun while outside a certain political party grows into a brutal force. When Sally meets Brian Roberts (Michael York), a university student finishing up his studies, the two strike up a relationship despite Brian's uncertainty about his sexuality. The arrival of Maximillian von Heune (Helmut Griem), a billionaire playboy, only serves to further complicate matters.
