Curious Kids Hour is back for another year, starting out by learning about programing robots with Waterville Public Library staff member Jessecca! Then, it’s off to space with the Children’s Discovery Museum of Central Maine, followed by the return of GSK in the Summer with the Maine Discovery Museum! The series will be closing out with a program on camouflage in nature with Waterville Public Library staff member Michelle. Come down to the library for more hands-on learning! As always, all of the materials will be provided and each student will get their very own Science Lab Notebook.
These events are intended for 2nd through 6th grade students. Adult guardians must remain with their child throughout the entirety of the event. Maine Discovery Museum is providing kits at their events. Â No registration required!

Be an astrobiologist. A spacecraft is going to bring back some samples of soil from another planet. Find out if any of the samples might contain tiny living things (microbes). scienceinthesummer.fi.edu/be-a-space-scientist/be-an-astrobiologist.
July 17: Maine Discovery Museum / GSK Science in the Summer!
Be a planetary geologist. We want to send astronauts to Mars, but which are the best landscapes to visit? Use images, 3D data, and models to investigate a landscape on Mars.
