5–7pm Opening Reception for Square + Triangle: Home in the Colby Museum’s collection
This exhibition offers varied perspectives on home, domesticity, and placemaking.  There will be a walkthrough and tour with the curator as well as refreshments and food provided by the Colby Museum of Art. For more info on the exhibition, click here.

35-year old Japanese-born pianist Miki Yamanaka has wasted no time establishing herself as one of the leading personalities of her generation on the piano and beyond. Critics laud her “light, expressive touch and solidly crafted, mainstream approach” – Mike Jurkovic (All About Jazz), while audiences delight in not only her playing, but her vibrant personality as well.

First Fridays celebrate the vibrant creativity in Waterville through a wide array of arts experiences. On the first Friday of every month, visit downtown Waterville to meet artists, see performances, listen to live music, eat delicious food, shop at local businesses, enjoy the arts, and come together as a community.

We honor and celebrate the array of identities in our local community and broader communities, including those that are not part of the predominant culture. We hold space on our stage, our screens, and our gallery walls, in our studios, and at our community events and programs to present diverse stories, identities, and lived experiences in real and authentic ways.
