Sunday, November 12 at 2pm. Featuring a short lecture and Q&A session with Se Young (Seth) Kim, Assistant Professor in the Cinema Studies Department at Colby College.

Focusing on the film's central dynamic (seen in the alternative title of Live, Die, Repeat), we will consider the video game logic of Edge of Tomorrow and unpack the pleasures and anxieties at its core. Doing so in relation to the career trajectory of star Tom Cruise, we will also see how the film operates as an opportunity to see the broader dynamic of the militarization of mass culture in the last twenty years.
