4–7pm Opening Reception for Youth Art Month (grades K–5)
Enjoy food, juice boxes, swag bags for youth artists, and more!
Ticonic Gallery is delighted to partner with the Colby Arts Office at Greene Block + Studios (located at 18 Main Street) to celebrate Youth Art Month with a spectacular, multi-site exhibition of artwork by local students in grades K–12. Featuring works in a variety of media, including painting, digital art, pottery, photography, and more. Youth Art Month is an opportunity for students to showcase their work in a gallery setting and share their achievements with their families and their community.

In tandem with the reception at Ticonic Gallery (located at 93 Main Street), Greene Block + Studios will celebrate Youth Art Month with artwork by local students in grades K–12.

4–7pm Open Studios at the Lunder Institute at Greene Block
Meet current Lunder Institute for American Art fellows at the Greene Block + Studios, including artists working in painting, sculpture, performance, and mixed media! The Lunder Institute’s Open Studios offers an opportunity for community members to speak to these makers about their practices and see their works-in-progress.

What are First Fridays?

First Fridays celebrate the vibrant creativity in Waterville through a wide array of arts experiences. On the first Friday of every month, visit Main Street in downtown Waterville to meet artists, see performances, listen to live music, eat delicious food, shop at local businesses, enjoy the arts, and come together as a community.
