Online Art Auction to Benefit Mainers for Humane Immigration

Mainers for Humane Immigration’s (MFHI) auction is raising money for Presente! Maine’s ICE Bail Fund. The auction will run from June 27th through June 29th. Auction items can be viewed at: https://app.galabid.com/icebailart/items#.

Recently, five men were picked up by Maine State Police on I-295 in Gardiner, Maine, and then transferred to Border Patrol. This event was a reminder of the presence of this agency in our state. Since the Biden/Harris administration took office, well over 120,000 people have been deported or expelled from the country. Currently, approximately 20,000 adults are in detention on any given day. The same number of children are in child detention facilities. These are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, neighbors, friends. Family separation continues. This online art auction is one avenue to raise funds to help undocumented neighbors and friends.
