Join us for an in-person poetry workshop with Adam Giannelli, who teaches literature and creative writing at Colby College. Participants will discuss poems written about works of art, a type of poetry called ekphrasis. We’ll play a word and image game and read poems written by Colby students, followed by a chance to write your own ekphrastic poem about a work of art in the museum. Refreshments will be served, and all participants will receive a writer’s notebook and pencil.
This two-hour workshop is free and open to campus and community audiences, ages 13+. Please register here.
