Secret Mall Apartment

In 2003, eight Rhode Islanders who had been evicted from their apartments by the construction of the Providence Place Mall discover a small section of the mall that is unmapped and seems to have been entirely forgotten to the world. Sneaking building supplies and furnishings into the mall, with the goal of remaining undetected by security as long as possible, the friends construct a secret apartment in the hidden space to make a statement: despite the destruction of their homes, they aren't going anywhere. Featuring interviews with the artists and a surplus of footage from their time living in the mall, Secret Mall Apartment "makes a compelling case that the project reverberates through the lives of the artists, and maybe even the city, to this day.
