From the unique, incomparable art and imagination of Hayao Miyazaki, “the greatest living animator today, period” (Rolling Stone) comes “the perfect culmination of an incredible career” (The Daily Beast). Alone in the Japanese countryside he’s been moved to by his parents, lonely young Mahito explores a countryside he’s never known, and keeps encountering a persistent grey heron who leads him to an abandoned tower. Entering it, he enters a strange new universe, one that only the imagination of Miyazaki could have conceived. “Utterly gorgeous, Miyazaki’s most visually complex and impressive movie” (IGN) is ultimately nothing less than “a heart-swelling assertion of cosmic purpose”–Vanity Fair.

Dubbed in English at 2:20pm and 12pm on Saturday and Sunday, in Japanese with English subtitles at 4:45pm and 7:10pm.
