The Great State of Illustration in Maine Reception

Join us and the Illustration Institute; for the opening reception of The Great State of Illustration in Maine Friday, May 5, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm with remarks at 5:30pm. Snacks and refreshments provided. The reception is in conjunction with downtown Watervilles First Friday.

This exhibition, curated by the Illustration Institute, will showcase the past, present and future of illustration in our state, representing history + contemporary culture through narrative imagery. By exhibiting historic work alongside contemporary illustration, visitors will experience the depth of possibility in narrative art as well as gain a further appreciation for the enduring, beautiful work that was created here.
