Friday, December 1 at 7pm - Silent Film with Live Musical Accompaniment by Mark Tipton and Les Sorciers Perdus!
Free and open to all. Presented in partnership with the Colby Museum of Art.
One of the very last of the great films of the Silent Era will be brought to stunning life without the actual cold of the Klondike central to The Trail of ‘98–through the magic of Mark Tipton’s original score, performed live at MFC. Actually shot in part on location in Alaska at heights of 11,600 feet and with -60 temperatures, The Trail of ’98 follows fortune hunters from more temperate climes seeking a strike a mere 30 years before the film was made. They find beauty, adventure, astonishing hardship…and even for a lucky few, perhaps love and gold.
