A true original, They Shot the Piano Player is an entirely animated film blending fact and fiction. An American journalist (voiced by Jeff Goldblum) wants to get to the bottom of the disappearance of Brazilian jazz bossa nova pianist Francisco Tenório Jr., who’s maintained a cult following after his “disappearance” while on tour in Argentina in 1976.
