yam: youth art month

celebrate visual art created by k-12 youth in the greater waterville community. this year’s youth art month (yam) theme is “building community through art” and is an opportunity to showcase the creative endeavors of area youth while highlighting the beneficial effects of artistic practice as part of the educational experience. this month-long celebration will emphasize the value of the visual arts that are often overlooked as part of a standard core curriculum. common street arts is pleased to participate in this year’s theme and will present a large scale interactive map of waterville and surrounding communities.
